THE STORY OF A REBEL
That my family was poor (4 children) wasn't the reason not to study. The truth: I was lazy in school. A rebel. I clashed with my parents, teachers, rectors, even with my officers in the German Army.
Finally I got off my butt. After the managers of a big German/European company had "grilled" me in interviews, they accepted me for a tough management training of 3,5 years. I made a rapid career. At the age of 24 I was their youngest HR manager, responsible for 54 employees.

Der Stellenmarkt für anspruchsvolle Führungspositionen ist schwierig
"Es werden 80 - 90% aller anspruchsvollen Führungspositionen nur verdeckt ausgeschrieben. Auf die 10 - 20% öffentlichen Stellen bewerben sich Hunderte von Bewerbern. Und da die meisten Bewerbungen durch die Hände von HR gehen, erfolgt eine recht langwierige Bewertung, oft ohne fachlichen Hintergrund. Die Unternehmen wählen daraus dann 5 - 10 gleichwertige Bewerber und nehmen meist den günstigsten Kandidaten. Nach 2 Monaten mit der ständigen Rückmeldung, dass mein Lebenslauf sehr gut ist, ich aber zu teuer bin, war mir klar, dass ich anders herangehen muss. Dank Herrn Barnefske bin wieder gut "gelandet!
